Rookie's History

The birth:  18.10.2003

Originally the Rookies were a group of motorcross rookie drivers, who participate in the "SinghaCup".

But the history of the Trackmania Rookies started much later and isn't very simple to explain:

Well, everything began with a little Online Game which was called ORF Skichallenge'06 and started in November 2005. One year later we played again, but after the ORF Skichallenge'07 was over, we didn't want to wait till the following year and looked for a new engagement....TRACKMANIA NATIONS!

But not only Nouse and Linski were "infected", some of their collegues at work were too. So they all started to play.

After a while Nouse joined the Turbo-Clan. Linski was able to inspire some of the motorcross drivers to play Trackmania and so they called theirselves the ROOKIE'S. Soon the wish becomes bigger and bigger to have an own TMN-Server.

So the first RookieServer and NouseServer were build on our own PCs at home. Especially on the RookieServer there were some problems because Linski has a very bad internet connection and his old Laptop was a little bit too loud for ZaK's apartment. Additionally the ORF Skichallenge'08 was coming up and so Nouse and Linski did a TMN-Brake from November '07 till February '08. After the ORF Skichallenge'08 a few Rookies (Linski, ZaK and Läv) tried to join the SCG-Team, which wasn't luckily succesfull.

Finally the hour of birth for our own TM Server comes: At 10.03.08 the first Server was hired by Linski ! Nouse , who left the Turbo-Clan meanwhile, and Linski restarted their old RookieServer and NouseServer on an old Linux system and after a while Nouse became a Rookie too. So we permanently had 2 Servers. The Rookie Tribute to Ü30 Server was the third server we started, that the Ü's have their fun too.

A few weeks later TrackMania Forever appeared and we can proudly say that one of the first Servers on the new version was one of ours. For a short time the old Servers were still running but soon they were upgraded to the new TM too.

We soon recognized that our Rookie Forever Server was very popular and that more and more people want to have back the old =MC= we started our second server: Rookie =MC= Shortmaps

To meet all the demands and wishes we soon set up our Rookie New-Age. More and more driver reached the 50k Ladder-Points and so we decided to the following splitting of our Servers:

Rookie New-Age became our entrance-Server with 0-50k Ladder-Points.

Rookie Shortmaps =MC= become the Rookie Shortmaps with 25-60k Ladder-Points.

Rookie Forever was moved to 40-80k Ladder-Points and the new.

Rookie Highlevel become a 60-90k Ladder-Points and on Sundays to a 80-100k Server.
